A 501(c)(3) for music education

We
Orchestrate
joy.

Music is how children learn resilience, empathy, and focus.

But thousands of students in the Pacific Northwest alone attend schools with zero music instruction. We're changing that — one classroom at a time.

Are
growing.

In low-income school districts across the Pacific Northwest and rural California, there is one music teacher for every 1,000 students. Many of these schools have no music program at all.

Meanwhile, research shows that children who receive music instruction make measurable gains in literacy, emotional regulation, and mathematics.

The students who would benefit most from music are the ones least likely to receive it.

Three pillars of EIMI.

Emotionally Intelligent Music Instruction reframes music education as part of human development — not a niche specialty, but a foundation for whole, healthy students.

i. CURRICULUM
— Pillar I.

Research-backed curriculum.

Developmentally sequenced lessons teach musical skill alongside persistence, curiosity, emotional regulation, and resilience.

Music is the method. Whole, healthy students are the outcome.

ii. TRAINING
— Pillar II.

Stress-free teacher training.

Live workshops and self-paced modules equip classroom teachers — not just music specialists — to deliver EIMI.

Every teacher can bring music into every classroom, regardless of their musical background.

iii. INTEGRATION
— Pillar III.

Sustained classroom integration.

We don't deliver a one-time workshop and walk away. Our model embeds music into daily instruction, with ongoing support and research that measures real outcomes.

What people are saying.

"
In traditional programs, the music is the product, and the humans are just the means to achieve it. In this program, whole, healthy humans are the product, and the music is the means.

"
I'm so happy we have this program, because there is music in my classroom where there wasn't before — and my kids needed it. I didn't know how bad they needed it.

"
The longer I've studied math and physics, the more I've realized their connections in my own cognition to music. Piano, like math, requires its learners to make mistakes daily and meet them with curiosity.

"
I Am Music Programme has impacted my learners positively, and the love of music has really developed its root in their hearts.
